Who are the people behind trbo? In our new series our employees introduce themselves – and answer five questions about themselves and their work. Today with our VP Account Management, Anna.
1. How did you hear about trbo and when did you start working?
I have been with trbo for 2.5 years and as VP Account Management I am responsible for our constantly growing customer service team. I have already worked with Felix and Kira (our CEO and COO) at intelliAd. As they told me about the technology one evening (during a BBQ) it just clicked and it was clear that I wanted to be part of the trbo team. I started out with 3 account managers in an old flat in Schwabing, which had been converted into an office – if someone had told me back then that only 2 years later the team would already consist of 15 people, I would probably not have believed them 😉 .
2. What is your job at trbo?
My team takes care of all aspects relating to customer service – this includes both operational work (i.e. support in setting up trbo campaigns) and strategic consulting on the topic of onsite optimization. And I’m responsible for ensuring that everything runs smoothly – this includes expanding the team, liaising with other departments (such as the technical team, sales and marketing) and supporting extensive customer projects. Also, being the trbo stage hog, I can express this passion quite often as a speaker, host or webinar presenter.
3. What would you have said 10 years ago about your current career choice?
Now I feel old 😉 … Having started my career exactly 10 years ago and having worked on the technical side of online marketing / e-commerce ever since, my former self would probably not have been very surprised. Onsite personalization was not really a big thing at that time, so my younger version would probably be happy that I discovered such an innovative and exciting field in the online industry.
4. What do your colleagues do not know about you so far?
If they don’t know this by now, I probably wouldn’t want them to know it now either. But all jokes aside, we enjoy chatting as a team or having a beer together at the end of the day, so I would say they probably know the most important things. Perhaps some don’t know that I can play the drums and – since I’m known as a trash TV queen – that I am a bookworm.
5. What did you want to be when you grew up?
For a long time I wanted to become a veterinarian, which, due to my excessive love of animals, certainly does not surprise any of my colleagues (just ask our poor office dog, who regularly has to share his dog bed with me). But as soon as I found out that being a veterinarian doesn’t only involve petting animals, I quickly dropped my wish to become one.
Bonus question: Is there anything you wouldn’t do for all the money in the world?
Give up my vacation! In Germany we are really spoiled with vacation days and, since traveling is my biggest passion, it is very important to me to use this time to travel around the world and to be able to unwind completely. Luckily, this is possible without any problems at trbo and so I luckily spent 3 wonderful weeks in Sri Lanka just before the lockdown 🙂 .
