GDPR is starting: trbo cooperates with Usercentrics

Munich, May 24, 2018 – In response to the upcoming General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), trbo is forging a strategic alliance with Usercentrics.  trbo, the technology company specializing in smart sales incentives, and Usercentrics, the data protection experts, will be joining forces to support webshops and e-commerce managers in operating websites in compliance with the GDPR.

Both partners will benefit from the close cooperation: trbo will provide its customers with the legally compliant software solution of the Consent-as-a-Service start-up. In return, Usercentrics will be able to draw on the Munich-based company’s many years of e-commerce know-how and extensive network.

“Together, we want to take away the fear of online merchants having to fight their way through the legal pitfalls of GDPR alone. trbo and Usercentrics offer an all-round carefree package: a qualified and individualized display of content and advertising on the website that simultaneously meets all the GDPR-requirements,” states Felix Schirl, Managing Director of trbo.

“With trbo, we have found a strategically suitable partner for the rapid spread of our data protection technology. Together, we are able to reconcile the rights of users and the interests of website operators in a legally secure manner,” adds Mischa Rürup, founder and CEO of Usercentrics.

About Usercentrics

Usercentrics offers Consent-as-a-Service (CaaS) and solves the data protection challenges of website operators in the course of the GDPR and e-Privacy regulation. Companies can install a privacy button on their website with just a few clicks. This enables them to obtain and document the user’s consent to data tracking in compliance with data protection regulations. Authorities and advertising technology partners can request the user’s consent in real time. Should data protection regulations be changed, this is automatically mapped via Usercentrics. Users can easily manage their privacy settings. The Munich-based technology company was founded in 2018 and currently employs five people. The first customers include publishers, agencies and large companies from various industries.
