Die DSP ist eine essentielle Technologie f\u00fcr den automatisierten Handel mit Online-Werbepl\u00e4tzen. Die Plattform wird dabei im sogenannten Programmatic Advertising f\u00fcr den Einkauf von Werbeanzeigen genutzt, indem man dort Gebote f\u00fcr eben diese abgibt. Diese Gebote werden dann wiederum, \u00fcber die an die DSP angebundenen Ad Networks und Exchanges, eingekauft. Bin ich der h\u00f6chste Bieter gewinne ich den Werbeplatz und meine Anzeige wird dort ausgespielt. Das ganze funktioniert durch Real-Time-Bidding, wobei in Echtzeit der h\u00f6chste Bieter ermittelt wird. Der gro\u00dfe Vorteil der DSP ist, dass man gleichzeitig auf sehr viele Inventarquellen bieten kann. Im Normalfall ist die DSP auch mit Datenquellen verkn\u00fcpft, so dass man seine Ma\u00dfnahmen mit sinnvollen Targeting-Kriterien verkn\u00fcpfen
